Projects
Microrobotics
Researcher — Microrobotics / Experimental Systems
Miskin Lab, University of Pennsylvania — 2024-2025
- Built and instrumented microscale robotic systems (10–100 μm) with magnetic actuation, operating in non-classical regimes where surface forces dominate behavior.
- Designed custom imaging + control infrastructure including 3-axis Helmholtz coils and backlit microscopy for controlled experiments under high-noise conditions.
- Developed an existence → characterization workflow, rapidly proving mechanisms first and then quantifying dynamics, thermal bounds, and failure modes.
S.Startup (AI, Sales, Forward Deployed Engineering)
Co-Founder — AI Categorization for Unstructured Field Data - 2025
- Conducted 260+ hours of field interviews to map operational workflows and identify bottlenecks in data capture → structured system integration
- Built and iterated on LLM-assisted pipelines for archaeology and retail, exposing limits of AI in ambiguous environments (hallucination, reliability)
- Owned deployment + operator interface, validating system behavior through direct user interaction and monitoring, iterating under real-world conditions
- Drove early sales + adoption by tailoring demos to user context, increasing conversion via simulation-first sales
Bionic Arm
Mechanical Systems Engineer (Robotics / Hardware)
University of Pennsylvania — 2024
- Engineered a single-actuator robotic gripper via four-bar linkage synthesis, replacing a ~12-motor architecture with mechanically coupled motion to reduce weight, cost, and system complexity.
- Prototyped under a strict cost constraint, enabling high-frequency physical iteration
- Re-designed the actuation system around a linear actuator, simplifying fabrication to fully planar processes while improving robustness and packaging efficiency.
Copy-pasteable blurb:
I’m a Physics + PPE student at the University of Pennsylvania seeking robotics engineering/research roles for Summer 2026. I’ve worked on microscale robotic systems (magnetic actuation, custom imaging, Helmholtz coils) , and worked with hundreds of users in forward-deployed engineering. I like owning problems end-to-end, and I’m looking to contribute to research and teams building deployed robotic systems.
